SCAD women’s swimming wins third consecutive NAIA title

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The SCAD women’s swimming team ends the 2020 NAIA National Championships with its third consecutive, fourth in five years, National Title.

The Bees won the National Title with 767.5 points, 143.5 points ahead of the runner-up Keiser Seahawks who finished with 624 points.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS: Allie Rassenfoss won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.25.

Isabella Song finished first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:19.71.

In the 200-yard butterfly, Lydia Reinhardt won with a time of 2:03.47.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Spencer Sheridan, Anna Kate McGinty, Thea Brandauer and Sloan Sizemore won with a time of 3:25.15.

ALL-AMERICAN FINISHES: The top eight individual finishers and the top eight relay teams will earn All-American status.

2nd – 100-yard freestyle (50.80)

Ali Sippel – Katy, Texas / Illustration
4th – 200-yard breaststroke (2:20.94)

Sloan Sizemore – Pompano Beach, Fla. / Animation
3rd – 100-yard freestyle (51.10)

1st – 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.71)

 COACH OF THE YEAR: After leading the Bees to their third-straight NAIA National Championship Title, Head Coach Bill Pilczuk was named the Coach of the Year.
